Alternative wooden statement jewellery and nature-inspired macabre art
About the Artist
Welcome! My name's Victoria and I live in England with my partner and our four rats.
I started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil and growing up had an interest in photorealistic portraits and animals. I didn't attend University although I did achieve a BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design, going on to achieve the top grade in the Foundation Diploma, with a focus on painting, in 2012.
I continued to focus on developing my art in my spare time, producing on average one piece a week, whilst supporting myself with a variety of jobs, including work in a nursing home and call centre.
In 2018, I decided to take the plunge and pursue art full time. It's been a rollercoaster since then; facing challenges like the pandemic and having to pursue second businesses to keep my art business afloat. But there have been some real highs in trading at some of the biggest events in the UK and selling my work to people all over the world.
Over the years my artistic focus has delved into the interplay between light and dark, beauty and the macabre. Exploring the contrasts that exist in our world and challenging us to see the beauty in the darkness.
